PIPE. Leonard Gilbert - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Elliott Community, Leonard Pipe in his 102nd year. Beloved husband of the late Glenna (Forsythe) Pipe. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sisters Grace Peddie, Dianna Stevenson and his brothers William, Ernest, Robert and Douglas. Len was the last remaining member of his family. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy during WW II, and was a member of the Col. John McCrae, Branch 234, Royal Canadian Legion. A private service will be held at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL - McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Monday, April 19, 2021. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital or to The Salvation Army would be appreciated. (The Guelph Mercury Tribune 17 Apr 2021)
