KOSTER, Irvin Albert (Irv) - passed away peacefully on May 5, 2020: the birthday of his late wife Phyllis. He was also predeceased by brother Eugene; son-in-law Ray Leroux; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Irv is survived by his children, Jan Leroux, Linda Stilborn (Rob), Gary Koster (Donna), Laureen McKnight (Bruce), Greg Koster (Delia), Ken Koster, and Kevin Koster (Rhonda); eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Fran Zerr; brother Bob Koster (Joie); sister-in-law Wanda Thompson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Irv and his wife Phyllis were married for almost 70 years when Phyllis passed away in 2017. They raised their children in their home on Argyle Street where they lived for 62 years, before moving to Wintergreene Estates. They were active members at Holy Rosary Cathedral since 1955. Irv enjoyed watching many sports, was an avid golfer and curler and was a committed Rider fan, holding season tickets for 73 years. “Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day... unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.” Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 3125 13th Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Danilo Rafael presiding. Due to Covid-19 Restrictions, seating will be limited. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park in the Field of Honour. (Speers Funeral and Cremation Services)
