CHARD, Thomas William - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas William Chard on Sunday evening. Tom was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He proudly served in the Canadian Navy for over 34 years, on both the East Coast and the West Coast. He served in the first Gulf War in 1991. He loved hockey, 50s cars and 50s music. He was a loving and devoted father and husband. Tom is survived by his wife Jean Chard, son Troy (Brenda), daughter Angela and his granddaughter Amanda Chard. Thank-you to the staff at Broadmead Veteran's Memorial Lodge. Tom, everyone will miss your smile and big laugh. (Victoria Times Colonist 05 Jun 2021)
