In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
LANDRY, Murray David - Age 74, of Halifax. It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Murray David Landry on May 3, 2021. Born in Halifax to Sidney Edward Landry and Alice Eileen Landry (Fleet). Murray spent 25 years in the Royal Canadian Navy as an engineer (stoker) and retired as Petty Officer 1 in 1989. He served a few years as call out Reservist as an engineer aboard HMCS Cape Scott before retiring completely. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at his cottage in New Ross. Murray is survived by his sister, Mary (Glen) Kinkaid; nieces, Cathy (Phillip) Clough and Glenna Kinkaid; great uncle to Matthew, Kelsey, Amber, Kiara, Seth, Macy and Oliver also special friend April Campbell, Ontario. Thank you to Paul Gerrior and Perry Dorrington for being good friends and there when needed. Murray was predeceased by both his parents, Sidney and Alice Landry and his long-time love, Marie Dorrington. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 07 May 2021)
