In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
STEEVES, Frederick Rufus - 76, Aylesford, Kings County, died February 4, 1994, in Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick. Born in Petitcodiac, N.B., he was a son of the late Rufus K. and Bessie (Mann) Steeves. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served with the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years. He owned and operated a skidoo dealership in Wellington, Halifax County. He is survived by his wife, the former Audrey Bremner; four sons, Earle and Richard, both of Enfield; David, Burlington, Hants County; and Gary, Bedford; sister, Burna Yorke, Halifax; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by a sister, Norma; a grand son, Michael. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Homes Ltd., Berwick. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Oakfield Cemetery. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 05 Feb 1994)
