CORBETT, James D. - The death of James D. Corbett of Lakeside, husband of Brenda (Calvin) Corbett occurred October 6, 2007 at his residence. He was born in The Pas, Manitoba, son of James D. Corbett and the late Ida (Richards) Corbett. James served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1957 - 1982. Following retirement from the Navy he worked on the Frigate Program. James traveled the world many times during both careers. He enjoyed researching genealogy. James is survived by his wife, Brenda; father, James Corbett, Edmonton AB; daughter, Leanne Corbett (Chad Richardson), Calgary, AB; son, Paul Corbett (Tammy), Saint John; sisters, Viola and Lydia, Edmonton, AB; brothers, Walter and Richard, Edmonton, AB; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Percy. There will be no visitation by request. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials to Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation Foundation, 800 Priestman Street, Fredericton, NB E3B 0C7 would be appreciated.
