In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
STEEVES, Charles (Charlie) - of Riverview peacefully passed away on November 26, 2020 at home. He was the son of the late Alice (Murray) and Talmage Steeves.
He was employed in transportation for 45 years before he retired. Charlie was a World War II veteran and a proud member of the RCNVR, serving on the HMCS Ontario. He was a member of the Riverview Veterans Association, having been their vice-president, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6.
Charlie will be missed by his loving partner Norma (Calhoun) of Riverview, daughters Paula Goad of Riverview, Barbara (Venning) Goad of Truro, sons, Thomas (Chrystal) of Fredericton, Brian (Janice) of Fredericton, Mark (Pat) of Riverview, daughter-in-law Carolee of Hampton, and brother David (Helen) of Riverview, along with beloved step-children Deborah Lahey, Cheryl Lahey, Shelley (Leonard) Butler. He is also survived and missed by his grandchildren Shelley, Michael, Shannon, Shane, Briana, Kayla, Devonne, Heidi, Jared, Talmage, Nikola, Stephanie, Tori, Jordon, Travis, great-grandchildren, Zoe, Kolbie, Jordan, Bailey, Ava, Mason, and great-great-granddaughter Anora. Charlie will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and special family friends the Smiths from Prince Edward Island.
Besides his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his loving wife Stella, son Charlie, son-in-law Dick Goad, and sisters Lulu, Mary, Lillian, and Doris.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Extra Mural program for their kindness, assistance, and professionalism.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).
