McGIBBON, David - Born March 6, 1938 in New York, U.S.A. David passed away peacefully on August 27, 2021 in London, Ontario. Beloved Husband of Muriel (Robinson) McGibbon for 61 years. Proud father to Le-Anne (Trevor) Dick of Guelph and Shaun McGibbon of West Bloomfield, Michigan. Devoted son to John and Beulah McGibbon (predeceased) and caring brother to Eva (Roy) Hawkins (predeceased). Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Aaron, and Liam Dick; Michael McGibbon; Heather and Ryan Lester. Adoring great-grandfather to Kade Yabut. Fun loving "Uncle Dave" to many nieces and nephews. Served 12 years in the Royal Canadian Navy; 30 years in the Physical Plant at Western University. Die-hard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Faithful servant at North Park Church, London and Lakeside Church, Guelph. David was singing his own songs right to the very end. Heartfelt thanks to his family at McGarrell Place. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful." 2 Timothy 4:7 NLT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ark Aid or Compassion Canada. Masks and reservations are required to attend David's Memorial Service at North Park Church on Saturday September 11th, at 2 p.m. Please contact Memorial Funeral Home directly for reservations.
