In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
FLINN, William Richard (Billy) - Age 79 of New Minas (formerly of Morden) passed away August 4, 2021. He was the son of the late Sadie and William Flinn, Sr. Bill was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Navy from 1959-1970, two years of which he served as a submariner. Since then, he had been employed throughout the valley until retiring in 1999. He was also an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years. Billy was a loving Dad and knew how to make people smile. He is survived by his daughters Deborah Jones, Carrollynne Becker and Leisa Lutz; sons Ricky Flinn, Blair Flinn and John Becker; sisters Sharon Marceau, Carolyn Mederios, Irene Frontain; brothers Grant Flinn and Randall Flinn. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by the love of his life Lois Becker; daughter Susan Oickle and brothers Doug Carty and Keith Flinn. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside service will be held on August 13, 2021 at 4:00 pm in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the organization of your choice.
