WHITE, Omer - 78, of Chaleur St., Bathurst, died Saturday (May 8, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Lt. Col. Ernest and Irene (LeBlanc) White. He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Navy in Canada and overseas. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked as an accountant for most of his life. Besides his wife, the former Vera Crawford, he is survived by: 2 Sons: Brian White and Michael White, both of Bathurst 3 Daughters: Donna Hachey (Doug Stewart) of Moncton Carol Lavigne (Steven) of Bathurst Brenda White (Maurice Hachey) of Bathurst 3 Brothers: Paul White of Florida Ernest White (Mirina) of Guelph, ON Oscar White (Gisela) of New Richmond, BC 2 Sisters: Alice Parker (Guy) of Bathurst Sr. Evelyn White, (Irene Therese) of Mount St. Vincent, Halifax, NS 4 Grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Evelyn in 1976. Funeral Service was held on Monday morning (May 10, 2004) at 11:00 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, King Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cathedral Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. A Legion service was held from the Chapel on Monday morning.
