PALSSON, Douglass - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglass Palsson on October 24. Doug was born in 1942. He spent his early years in Dawson Creek before joining the Navy and travelling the world. After returning from the Navy he met the love of his life -Anne. They moved to Vancouver and Doug studied to be a high school math teacher at Simon Fraser University. Doug and Anne were married in 1966 and they had two children. Doug taught at Argyle secondary school for 35 years and made an impact on many students. Doug loved to build and fix things. He built the house the family lived in for 25 years and a bunkhouse on Protection Island. In retirement, Doug and Anne spent a lot of time on Protection Island. There Doug was known for catching crab and playing dirty board. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Anne; his daughter, Treva; his son; his grandchildren, Alexis and Olina; his son-in-law, Gord, his sister, Barb; and many nieces and nephews.
