FRENCH, Donald Frederick, Lt, RCNVR, MPK - 24 Nov 1944, HMCS SHAWINIGAN - Son of Lillian May McCallum (formerly French) of London, Ontario and the late William James French. He attended St. George's School, Central Collegiate and the University of Western Ontario graduating with an Honour B.A. He was a member of the Church of St. John the Evangelist.
Lt French died when HMCS SHAWINIGAN was sunk by U-1228 on 24 Nov 1944. Of her crew of 91, there were no survivors.
