In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WATSON, Sheila Mary - Sheila grew up in Kerrisdale, went to Quilchena Point Grey and Magee Schools, joined the Brownies and the Guides and sang in the Elgar Girl's Choir. In 1939, she joined the Wrens (Woman's Navy) and served in Halifax and St. John's, Newfoundland. Later she married and lived in England. For the rest of her life, her great love was her little handicapped daughter, Jennifer, who died at age 26. Sheila lived a difficult life. She worked hard, and made many friends. She is missed by her sister, Helen Watson, and by cousins in the Helmcken and the Bullen families. You are missed. Sincerely, Helen (The Vancouver Sun / The Province 09 Mar 2012)
