In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
PAINCHAUD, John Edward - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Papa, and Brother. Born in London, Ontario John was the son of the late Mary Painchaud (Chipchase) and Paul Painchaud. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cecilia Painchaud (Brown); Sons, Scott, and Mark (Jen); Brother, Robert (Jan); and his precious grandchildren, Chloe and Benjamin, the light of his life. John served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 39 years. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit in 1989 and finished his career in 2003. John then continued his career with the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia for the next 10 years. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Stephanie Hall for her continuous care over the years, and to the staff at the Dartmouth General dialysis unit for the incredible care over the past 6 years.
