LAWRENSON, John Edward - Passed away peacefully, at Kingston General Hospital, on Sunday September 17, 2017. John will be sadly missed by his wife Dorothy of 66 years. Dear father of Susan (Brian) McEwen, Joan (Lewis) Bryant, Karen (Bill) Wait, Nancy (Roger) Rose and son John. Predeceased by his son Ted. Grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Ruth Lawrenson and sister Dorothy Bell. Survived by brothers Wilf (Lorraine), Dave (Krista), sisters Netta (the late Gerald), Marg (Don), and Rhoda (Rob) and brother-in-law Ivan Bell. The family will receive friends at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive, on Thursday September 21, from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday September 22, from 12-1 p.m. Funeral Services in Celebration of John`s Life will be held in our chapel on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Following the reception, the family will gather at Sand Hill Cemetery, Battersea for the prayers of Committal. Memorial donations to Bethel Pentecostal Church, Battersea would be appreciated.
