In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ANDERSON, Francis (Frank) // STEFCZYK, Franciszek Roman Tadeusz - Our family is deeply saddened by the passing of Francis (Frank) Anderson in May 2021.
Frank joined the Royal Canadian Navy's University Naval Training Division (UNTD) programme at U of T in the 1950s where he pursued his love of aeronautical engineering. Some of his best memories of that time included his service on the HMCS Bonaventure. During the unification of the Canadian Forces in 1968, Frank was reclassified as an Air Force Aeronautical Engineer, although a warm spot always remained in his heart for the RCN. A later highlight was his service at CFB Comox (now 19 Wing) where Frank was posted as the Base Technical Services Officer.
Following Frank's distinguished 30 year military career, Frank served in the Federal Government at Transport Canada as the Chief of Airport Operations and Maintenance.
Frank loved to fix almost anything. He took great pride in his family, and loved to greet friends with bonhomie.
Frank is predeceased by his sister Danuta Dusznicki (W?adys?aw). Frank will be missed by his dear wife of 62 years, Andrée, his brother Michael, also known as Mieczys?aw, Stefczyk, daughter Marie (Jamie), daughter-in-law Nasim, and son Michael. Sadly Frank was predeceased by his son John only two weeks earlier before his own passing. Frank is lovingly remembered by five grandchildren as well as nieces and grandnieces and grandnephews.
