In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
COVELL, Brian Charles - Age 70, previously of Lantz and recently of New Minas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the Centennial Building, QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. He was born in Farnborough, England to the late Charles and Eileen (Lester) Covell.
He lived in Nova Scotia and Alberta for most of his life. He was an active member of Elmsdale Baptist Church.
Brian was an electrician by trade and served in the Navy in his early years. After leaving the Navy, he had various jobs until he retired. He was an adventurous, well-rounded man and was always up for a challenge. If he didn’t know what to do, he would always figure it out. Brian was a kind and loving man who loved to help others. If he saw anyone with a need, he would do his best to help them or find someone who could.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Steve, Alta.; sister, Maureen Covell and her husband John, Alta. He is survived by his children, Tracy (Don) Dunn, N.B.; Chris, B.C.; Karen Myers, N.S.; Andrew, Richard, and Peter, all of Alta. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Benjamin, Kathryn, Josh, Abbie and Charles, who he loved to the moon and back; as well as nieces, Jenny; Robin and her children Joseph and Jessica; nephew, Rodger; many friends all over.
Cremation has take place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. In keeping with Brian’s wishes, there will be no service. Where Brian liked to help those in need, in lieu of flowers we are requesting random acts of kindness or donations to a charity of your choice.
