In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
LEVERINGTON, Roy Harvey - Roy was the son of Edwin Dufferin and Vera Mabel Leverington of West Lorne, Ontario. He was pre-deceased by his twin brother Ray and sister Mabel. He has one surviving sister Cora. He will be joining his loving wife Eileen, they were married for 55 years. Roy is the father of Patrick and his wife Rolene, and daughter Kellie and husband Sam. He enjoyed his grandchildren Kim, Jason, Tanya, Laura, Hollie and David, and great-grandchildren Stacey, Garret, and Elijah. Roy enrolled in the Navy 1941 and served until 1946, he is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 159, after that he led an interesting life, he worked in construction, fished commercially and served in the O.P.P for five years. He recently received acknowledgement of 60 years as an ironworker in Hamilton local 736. Roy was proud member of St. John's Lodge A.F.& A.M. No. 35 for over sixty years, also a member of the Rameses Shriners for over 60 years, and a member of the Scottish Rite, Hamilton. Dad was the leader of the pack, we enjoyed his stories and many life lessons he was a strong dynamic husband, father, grandfather, uncle and one of the good old boys. We would like to thank the nurses of West Haldimand General Hospital for caring for Dad. Also like to thank CCAC for their care for Dad and enabling him to spend the last three weeks that mom and him enjoyed together in their home.
