JONES, William Joseph - 75, 16 Arbor Dr., Antigonish, formerly of Guysborough, died Wednesday in Antigonish. Born in Port Felix, he was a son of the late Isaac and Anne (Murphy) Jones. He was a retired postmaster in Guysborough and served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 81, Guysborough, and of St. Nininan's Parish, Antigonish, and St. Ann's Parish, Guysborough. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Anne (Mrs. Allan MacPherson), Boylston; five sons, Francis, Antigonish; David, Waterville; Peter, Boylston; Richard, Guysborough; Wayne, Stewart, B.C.; three sisters, Emma (Mrs. Douglas Jamieson). Middleton; Kate Richard, Guysborough; Mary (Mrs. Bill Funicello), Somerset, Mass. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Virginia DeCoste; a son in infancy; two sisters; a brother. The body has been cremated. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in St. Ann's Parish, Guysborough, Rev. Ray Huntley officiating. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald, Friday, 05 Dec 1991)
