In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DAVISON, William (Bill) - passed away peacefully at the age of 83 at the Foothills Hospital at 12:45 a.m. on February 1, 2003. He was an active individual, noted for his joke telling and dancing abilities. His grave illness was unknown to him until his hospitalization on January 20, 2003. Born August 15, 1919 in Belfast, Ireland, Bill spent his youth in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. He joined the Navy and served in the North Atlantic from 1939 to 1945. Bill's greatest loves in life were Betty Dufour, the Sea Cadets, and his Navy cronies. He leaves to mourn, Betty in Calgary; his daughter Tina, and son Doug, both in B.C.; and numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends. At Bill's request, there will be no Memorial Service. Betty will host a Celebration of Bill's Life in March at the 264 Legion on Kensington Road in Calgary. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Sea Cadet Corps Calgary, 1227 - 38 Avenue N.E., Calgary, Alberta T2E 6M2. (Calgary Herald 10 May 2012)
