In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BIRCH, Stanley - was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Jackie and his son Kip. He was a loving father to Penny (Larry), George (Sue) and Darla (Brett); a proud grandfather to Michael, Ryan, Alicia, Michelle, Sheena (Dan), Evan and Tessa and a caring great-grandfather to Hunter. Stan was a working man, retiring as a Deputy Assessor for the BC Assessment Authority and a service man, retiring from the Royal Canadian Navy after a 22 year career including WWII and Korean War Peacekeeping. After many years of living independently, Stan passed away with family by his side in Victoria, BC. He will be sorely missed and remembered as a driven, dedicated and very generous man. A 'Celebration of Life' for friends and family to be arranged. (Victoria Times Colonist 03 Oct 2015)
