In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BUTLER, Eva Margaret (née McCAW) - Born In Winnipeg, Manitoba February 13, 1923, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2009. Her greatest joy was always in the happiness and well being of others, inspiring her to pursue a Nursing career while she was still in her teens. She joined the WRCNS and followed her dream. Her career took her too many places, but she made her home for many years in one of her favorite cities, San Francisco, where she married Orrin Butler. She remained in the Bay area for many years after his passing in 1973. Family was a high priority in her life which prompted her decision to return to her roots, bringing her to the Vancouver area where her family resides. She had a great sense of adventure and loved traveling. Russia and Paris were among some of her destinations and most loved memories. She loved to dance, play bridge, enjoy good political discussions and in general enjoy life. Her twinkling eyes, loving heart and infectious laugh leave us with treasured memories. Margaret is lovingly survived by her brother Ronald McCaw and wife Jito, Nephew Gerald Clint (Marlene), Nieces Judy Savage (Cliff) Carol Ward, and Kate Parfitt. She is also survived by her special friend Bert Davis. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of the Weatherby Pavilion 2 for their excellent care and attentiveness during her illness. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 24th, 11 AM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church at 2350 - 148 St, Surrey, BC, followed by a luncheon. (Vancouver Sun / The Province 20 Nov 2009)
