In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WADDELL, Kathleen Patricia - was born in Edmonton, AB and lived in Point Grey, Vancouver since 1965. She spent the last year of her life at Sunrise Senior Living in Vancouver. Predeceased by sisters Evelyn Corral and Jean Rombough; survived by nephews and nieces. Kathleen served in the Women's Royal Canadian Service during WWII in Halifax, NS, and was active in the Wrens Association her whole life. She will be remembered for her tart wit and love of gardening, her caring ways in the community as a volunteer at Vancouver General Hospital and as a faithful and active member of her church. Special thanks to her church family, close neighbours and friends who were like family, who surrounded her in love and care. A memorial tea will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 3 pm, at Dunbar Heights United Church, 3525 West 24th Ave, Vancouver. (Vancouver Sun / The Province 10 Dec 2011)
