In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
CHARENKO, Alfred - Peacefully in his sleep after a brief illness at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on November 23 at the age of 99. Alfred served his country in the Navy during WWII and then went on to a successful career at The CNR. Alfred was predeceased by Lorayne, his beloved wife of 70 years. Left to mourn are his children Lorne (Marilyn), Deirdre (Pierre) and Holly. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Allison, Melissa and Scott and great-granddaughter Remy. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Special thanks to his caregivers at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, the Home and Community Care as well as Veterans Affairs. In memory of Alfred, donations to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation would be appreciated (Ottawa Valley News 01 Dec 2021)
