MADDEN, William Patrick, L/Sto, V22713, RCNVR, died - 16 Dec 1944, HMCS KAMSACK - Husband of Evelyn Madden, of Toronto, ON.
Leading Stoker W. P. Madden died at the Royal Canadian Naval Hospital, Halifax due to striking his head when he slipped on the deck of HMCS KAMSACK when jumping over the rail from HMCS BATTLEFORD onto HMCS KAMSACK on December 08, 1944. Death was caused by pneumonia which had set in as a result of the accident aboard HMCS KAMSACK. The ships were tied up at a jetty in Halifax Harbour at the time. He is buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto, ON.
