In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
MASON, George Edward - passed away on June 15, 2004 at the age of 80. He will always be remembered by his daughter, Lonnie (Ernie) Rudy; his sons, Brad (Janine), Taylor (Helen) and Cameron. Also his grandchildren, Kelly, Chad, Graham, MacKenzie, Shaun, Stuart, Liam and Daniel; and a brother, Ken. He was predeceased by his wife, Ardith; his parents, William and Constance; his sisters, Linda and Connie; and his brothers, Bill and Ralph. George served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. He retired with 29 years of service in the Public Service. He also managed the Regional Park Golf Course and Curling Rink for many years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. George's family would like to thank the staff of Mandel House and The Manitou Lodge who took such great care of Dad, George. There will be a Memorial Service held on Friday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Legion Hall, on Main St. in Watrous, SK with Rev. Mike Sinclair officiating followed by a family interment (of both George and his wife Ardith) in the Watrous Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Watrous Community Health Foundation. (Saskatoon StarPhoenix 17 Jun 2004)
