CRANDALL, Frances Louise (née DAYTON) - Burlington, On, formerly of Moncton, passed away in Burlington ON, on Wednesday, October 22, 2003, following a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Frank M. and A. Louise (Trites) Dayton. She lived for many years in Pointe Claire, PQ, and also lived in Parlee Beach, NB, Sidney, BC and Montserrat, BWI. Frances served with the WRCNS (WRENS) during the Second World War. She especially enjoyed traveling and sailing. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald R. Crandall, of Burlington; one daughter, Louise, of Ottawa; one son, Hugh, of Oshawa; grandsons, Carson and Stephen; sisters, Alice Lambroughton and Carol Mallory of Burlington; a brother, Frank M. (Mac) Dayton, (Geraldine) of Moncton, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. John's United Church, Moncton. A memorial service has been held in Burlington. Internment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury, NB. A reception for friends and family will be held in the Garden View Reception Room at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, on Tuesday, October 28, at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Frances may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of your choice.
