LEY, James Earnest, LS, V7625, RCNVR, died - 05 Oct 1942, HMCS AMHERST - Son of James John and Rachel (Thornton) Ley of Richmond Hill, ON.
Leading Seaman J.E. Ley was accidentally lost overboard on the night of Oct. 05, 1942 and drowned in the River Foyle, Northern Ireland. James body was recovered on Oct. 21, 1942 at Moville, Ireland.
LS James Ley is buried in the Londonderry City Cemetery, Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
