COOK, Thomas Alfred, OS, V24177, RCNVR, died - 26 Jun 1941 - HMCS BARRIE - Son of Ernest E. Cook and Mary Alice Cook of Winnipeg, MB.
Thomas Cook was a machinist helper before joining the navy and was formerly a star Winnipeg rugby player. He died of injuries in Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax, NS after being struck on the side of the head during depth charge trials being carried out on board HMCS BARRIE. He been in the navy for only 7 1/2 months.
OS Thomas Cook is buried in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB.
