In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
NICHOLL, Thomas Andrew - Peacefully, at home surrounded by love Tom left this earth.
Dad is survived by his daughter Gwen Zirk of Westlock, AB, son Ernest (Donna) of Armstrong, ON, and daughters, Elaine of Winnipeg, and Pat Stefishen (Neil Muryn) of Stony Mountain, MB; eight grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Tom was predeceased by his wife Verna; parents, Matthew and Annie; brother Ernest; sister Grace, and two grandsons, Trevor Nicholl and Thomas Zirk.
Dad spent all his life in St. Vital except for a short time in the Navy during the Second World War where he met the love of his life Verna in Glace Bay, NS and they were married on June 30, 1945.
Dad worked for CN Rail from 1942 until he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Norwood Branch #43, the CN Pensioners Association, and the Winnipeg White Ensign Naval Club.
In accordance with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held. (Winnipeg Free Press 15 Jan 2022)
