In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
Al was born in England and immigrated to B.C. Canada with his family at 12 years of age. He served in the CAF - Navy, attended Dalhousie University and obtained CA designation. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand Halifax and finished at Serco Canada Goose Bay NL / Toronto.
Al will be remembered for always seeking adventures biking, running and travelling with his wife and kids.
Al will be deeply missed by wife/best friend of 38 years, Gale. Al was a proud and loving father to Kimberly (Mike), Kevin (Ashley), Amy (Aaron), and Patrick. Loving son of Janet Casey, and siblings Mike (Sherry), Marie (John), Rachel (Mark), and Richard (Amanda). He was predeceased by his father Christopher Casey.
A visitation will be held at Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices - Jennett Memorial Centre, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to a reception after the service but must RSVP. PLEASE NOTE: Full vaccination is required to attend, and masks must be worn. Those planning on attending are kindly asked to RSVP on the funeral home website or call 705-722-6656 to reserve their spot. Donations in memory of Al can be made to RVH Cancer Care Foundation, Princess Margaret Hospital Cancer Foundation, or Terry Fox Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
