WHITE, Robert, Sig, V57509, RCNVR, died - 07 Sept 1944, HMCS SIOUX - Son of Joseph White (deceased) and Mrs. Jean white Anderson, Toronto, ON.
Signalman Robert White died on 07 Sep 1944 in the Royal Naval Sick Quarters, Northness, Scotland, due to fatal injuries received when a towed aircraft target was shot down during anti-aircraft gunnery practise and struck the ship. He was buried in the Imperial War Graves Cemetery, Orkney, Scotland on 12 Sep 1944.
