JUSTICE, Robert McLaren, Sto 2c, V59101, RCNVR, died - 19 Apr 1944, HMCS CANSO - Son of Hannah Justice and the late Cpl Robert McLaren Justice, of Winnipeg, MB.
Stoker 2nd Class Robert Justice accidentally drowned believed to have slipped while descending a ladder on HMCS CANSO falling between the ship and the jetty. He is buried in the Weston Mill Cemetery, Plymouth, Devon, England.
Stoker 2 Robert Mclaren Justice. Son of Mrs. R.M. Justice of Dauphin, Manitoba, was reported killed on active service, April 19. Born in Winnipeg, Feb. 21, 1925, he attended Riverview School and moved with the family to Dauphin in 1938 taking his high school course there. His father, Cpl. Robert McLaren Justice, died Feb. 21, 1942 while working at No. 10 S.F.T.S. of the R.C.A.F. Bob joined the R.C.N.V.R. in April, 1943 in Hamilton, where he had worked for a few months. His mother and his three sisters, Betty, Shirley and Margaret, live in Dauphin and his brother, Roy, in Winnipeg.
