In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BRACKEN, Lawrence Anthony - Comforted by family, Larry passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2022. Born in Montreal, Larry leaves behind his long-time partner Dianne, his children Alex and Katharine, his sister Barbara and brother Tim as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. He served in the Navy in his younger years and dedicated the latter years of his life to caring for Dianne, making her life as comfortable as possible. Together with Dianne, Larry enjoyed travelling, frequently making trips to Mexico and Europe. He loved motorcycles, baseball, gardening and sailing. For many years Larry volunteered at the Union Gospel Mission on Vancouver's Downtown East-side, always there when someone needed him. He practiced Buddhism and had an affiliation with the Lingyen Mountain Temple in Richmond. He is sorely missed and will always be in our hearts. A Celebration of Life is planned for a future date, in lieu of flowers, we encourage a donation to the Union Gospel Mission. (The Delta Optimist 17 Mar 2022)
