McCUNE, Gordon Alexander - WW2 Veteran - P.Eng - Passed away peacefully at Briargate Retirement Residence on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of Brenda (Deceased). Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Catherine McCune, brother Ronald McCune, sister Phyllis Hipkin and son in law Emery Vanhooser. Cherished friend to the late Jean Gosbee. Dearly loved and missed by daughters Jane (Harold) Sleeth, Catherine (Walter) Klein and Colleen (Jack) Hunt. Loving grandfather of Lori, Gregory, Jenny, Sarah and Melanie. Proud great-grandfather of Braedyn and Noah. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Served in the Royal Canadian Navy as a radio operator in World War 2. Graduated from McGill University, Montreal, with a degree in Civil Engineering. Gordon was a brilliant business man, devoted family man with a wonderful, unique sense of humour. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompikins Funeral Home - Township Chapel 435 Davis Drive Kingston on Thursday October 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
