In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
VANSTON, Margaret Isobel Lillian (née FITZHERBERT) - It is with deep regret and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Margaret Isobel Lillian Vanston (nee Fitzherbert). She is survived by her children, Jo-Anne Renneberg (Jeff Williams), Diny Smith (Wayne), Grant Vanston, Alma Jean (Bob). She also leaves to mourn, her grandchildren, Wally Smith (Kirsten), Karl Smith (Natasha), Christine Collis (Tim), Elizabeth Jean, Thomas Jean; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Justin Smith, Larah and Morgan Smith; and her devoted companion Yoda as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her son Jack in 1950 and her husband Archie in 1971. Margaret served with the Wrens in the Royal Canadian Navy in World War II and she will always be remembered for her kind heart, giving ways and her wonderful flower garden. Cremation took place and at her request there will be no Service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. (Calgary Herald 03 May 2012)
