They made the Ultimate Sacrifice
BEARD, Thomas Norman Kemp, Midshipman, RCN, MPK - 24 May 1941, HMS HOOD - Son of Commander Charles Taschereau Beard and Kathleen Adele Beard, of Victoria, British Columbia.
He attended Shawnigan Lake School in BC and was later trained as a Naval Cadet at HMCS STADACONA and HMS BRITANNIA. He served in HMS VICTORY and then HMS HOOD as a Midshipman.
