In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
FERGUSON, Lloyd Robert - Dad passed away peacefully in his own home. Predeceased by his wife Beverley in 2019 he leaves behind a family that loved and adored him starting with his son Rob, daughter-in-law Susan, grandchildren Kelsey (Kevin) and Blaine, great-grandson Korbin and family dogs Gus and Kilo. Fergy's life truly began when he met his girl Bev in Calgary as young teenagers. They met in 1949 and were married in 1955. Bev's family embraced Dad which included Don and Rene, nieces and nephews Bev, Daryl, Dawn Leann and Rick. Dad's Navy military career was from 1951-1978 and his rank was Chief Petty Officer 1st Class. Fergy served in the Korean War and as Peacekeepers in the Vietnam War. He received 6 medals and several awards for his military service. Dad also worked at Glendale and Tillicum Lodges after he retired from the Navy and enjoyed everyone from the residents to the staff. Dad loved golfing with friends at Cedar Hill Golf Course where it never rained and if the stars aligned he could beat his son Rob. As the sailors say "you have crossed the bar" Dad and are now with Mom and her family again but your love and caring will remain in our hearts forever. Dad requested no service.
