ROBERTSON, Charles Kenneth, AB, 3615, RCN, MPK - 16 Nov 1942, SS ETTRICK / HMS QUEBEC - Son of Charles H. and Thelma Agnes Robertson, of Sydney, NS.
Able Seaman C. K. Robertson entered the Sydney academy in September 1939 and left in May 1940, to enlist in the Royal Canadian Navy. He took his training at Esquimalt, BC and then volunteered for service with the Naval Commando. He was reported missing and presumed killed when the troop transport ETTRICK, in which he was taking transport on from Algiers to the UK, was sunk by U-155 on 15 Nov 1942 Northwest of Gibraltar.
