In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
HUNT, William George - age 83, died in Halifax on January 12, 2009. Born West Vancouver. He served in the Royal Navy as a Midshipman during WWII. After the war he returned to Canada and joined the Royal Canadian Navy until he retired. He then qualified as a Captain in Merchant Navy. He is survived by his wife Cynthia, son Phillip (Kim) of Ottawa, his daughter Charlotte (Daryl), Richel of Edmonton, and grandchildren, Joanna, Ben and Neil, brother John (Letty) of Agassiz, sister Betty Tracey of West Vancouver. Memorial service, February 6 in Halifax. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Nova Scotia Officers Association of Canada (Bursary Trust), PO BOX 201 Halifax NS, B3J 2V2.
