RIEHL, Donald Gerald - Born in Dauphin, Manitoba, April 13, 1931, passed away on January 5, 2007. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Yvonne of 54 years, two daughters, Barbara Joan Walford (Joe), Bonita Matthews (Craig) and son, Douglas (Sylvia). He is also survived by three grandchildren, Ryan Boogaars, Justin and Shelby Matthews. Don also leaves his sister and brothers, nieces and nephews and many friends. Retiring from a career in the Royal Canadian Navy, he relocated to Shawnigan Lake where he enjoyed curling, golfing, fishing, traveling and gardening. With a special thank you to Richie and Elaine Riehl, the family would also like to extend their thank you to Dr. Daphne Robinson and staff of Cowichan District Hospital, the Home Care nurses and the Hospice Society. Lt Riehl's ashes were committed to the sea on 16 Apr 2007.
