VAN OOYEN, Dirk, Stwd, V8608, RCNVR, MPK - 28 Jan 1944, HMCS MAHONE - Son of Mr. and Mrs. Dirk Van Ooyen, of Ginneken, Holland. Father of Winnifred Corie Marie, William Dirk Lenard and Adrian Robert.
Steward Van Ooyen died as a result of a collision between HMCS MAHONE and SS Fort Townsend at Sydney, Nova Scotia. His body was not recovered.
