CONRAD, Fred Wallace Arthur - 95, Dayspring, passed away Sunday, October 6, 1991, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in First South on September 18, 1906, he was the eldest son of the late Captain Wallace and Viella (Corkum) Conrad. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was later employed as a Marine Engineer. He is survived by three daughters, Mona (Mrs. Robert White), Dayspring; Sheila (Mrs. Robert Woodford), Oakville, Ont.; Adele (Mrs. John Hughes), Middleton; two sons, Fred, Jr., Maitland; Greg, Halifax; three sisters, Verna (Mrs. Moyle Randall), Dayspring; Margaret (Mrs. E. Lavin), Framingham, Mass.; Kathleen Rhodenizer, Bridgewater; two brothers, Basil, Liverpool; Bernard, Marathon, Ont.; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mildred Fraser; an infant son; a brother, Douglas. Following cremation, a memorial service was held Wednesday, October 9, 1991, in the R.A. Corkum's Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. Tom Ristine officiating. Burial was in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Rhodes Corner.
