In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
CONDRAN, John James Brian - age 80 years of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 14, 2022.
He was known to many as John, to some as Brian and to his six grandchildren as “Grumpy”.
Born in Dartmouth on January 19, 1942; he was a son to the late Eleanor (Langston) and John Condran. He joined the Navy at the age of 18 and retired 34 years later as an Air Force Warrant Officer, having served at Shearwater, Greenwood and Ottawa.
John loved his garden, singing (even when he didn’t know the words), dancing and travelling.
Left with many loving memories are his devoted wife and dance partner of 60 years, Donna (Smith); children Paula (Paul) and Darrell (Margo); grandchildren Kyler, Jaron, Kailey, Julia, Jace and Devin; brothers Barry (Michelle) and Paul.
Special Thank you to the Palliative Care Team and the VON for their kindness, care and support shown to John and our family during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 7-9pm. Masks are requested to be worn for the safety of all attending. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
