In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
PFISTER, Robert Larry (Bob) - Surrounded by family and love Bob left this world on his own terms. Preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and dear wife Evelyn who passed in 2002. Bob leaves behind his son Larry and countless family and friends who will miss him immensely. Bob lived a life of service in the Royal Canadian Navy, Korean War, and maintaining the Legislative Buildings. He was an avid walker, enjoyed cooking for loved ones, and was steadfast in his beliefs and commitments. He, and we, are thankful for the wonderful care he received at VGH. His final words were "I challenge you all to live longer than 92-years; I will be watching" and off he went with a smile on his face. We are fortunate to have known Bob, will carry on what we each learned from him, and strive to live to 92 years as he watches on. No funeral by request. An informal celebration of life will be held in future. Details to come. (The Victoria Times Colonist 29 Jun 2022)
