In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
GERMAN, Francis Edward (Frank) - Age 72, died unexpectedly April 14, 2022 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. He was born December 6, 1949, in Montreal, Que. a son of Gordon and Mary Veronica (Walsh) German. Frank is survived by his partner, Deborah Cooper (Purcell); his son, Dennis German (Cory); brothers, Peter and Dennis; sisters, Cathy, Christine, Patricia (Martin) and Rosemary (Michel); many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Patricia German (Wall). Upon completion of high school Frank enlisted into the Royal Canadian Navy where he served on HMCS ASSINIBOINE, OTTAWA, QU'APPELLE and TERRA NOVA. After serving his country for 20 years and honing his skills as a radar technician he decided to further his career by working with some of the top defence companies in the country such as Unisys Defence Systems, Loral and Lockheed Martin. Frank was a huge Montreal Canadiens fan and always made the time to watch their games on tv or in person with his son. He travelled much of the world visiting six of the seven continents and dozens of countries. He was a loving, patient, devoted and compassionate man and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
