COMISH, John Charles Griffon, Tel, V56416, RCNVR, killed - 11 Apr 1945, HMCS STRATHADAM - Son of John Cicero Comish and Ellaline Constance Comish; husband of Dorothea Jean Comish, of New Westminster, British Columbia. Brother of Enid.
Telegraphist J. C. G. Comish was one of six members of the crew of HMCS STRATHADAM killed by a premature Hedgehog explosion on board the frigate during an attack on a suspected submarine. He is buried in the Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Telegraphist John Charles Griffon Comish, age 20 was the son of Mr. John Cicero Comish and the late Mrs. Ellaline Constance Comish of New Westminster. His wife the former Dorothy Harrow, also live in the Royal City, at 57 Elliott Street, New Westminster, B.C. He was educated in Langley Prairie and worked for Boeing Aircraft until he enlisted in 1942
