In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
McKenna, Peter Joseph - CPO Peter Joseph MacKenna of 22 Tallahassee Ave., Clarence Park, passed away suddenly at Stadacona Hospital on Saturday, September 13, 1958, at the age of 36. Remains are resting at Mattatall's Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral will be held at the Shearwater Protestant Chapel on Tuesday at 2.30 p.m. (Halifax Chronicle Herald 16 sep 1958)
According to his death registration on Nova Scotia Vital Stats, Chief McKenna died of a heart attack. He was buried at sea from HMCS FUNDY on either 16 or 17 Sep 1958.
