MCEWEN, Dennis William Andrew L/Tel, V36117, RCNVR killed - 11 Apr 1945, HMCS STRATHADAM - Son of Andrew W. McEwen and Marion A. E. McEwen, of North Bend, British Columbia.
Leading Telegraphist D. W. McEwen was one of six members of the crew of HMCS STRATHADAM killed by a premature Hedgehog explosion on board the frigate during an attack on a suspected submarine. He is buried in the Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
