SHIMMIN, Alfred George, LSA, V45064, RCNVR, killed - 11 Apr 1945, HMCS STRATHADAM - Son of Alfred George and Rose Shimmin, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

 

Leading Supply Assistant A. G. Shimmin was one of six members of the crew of HMCS STRATHADAM killed by a premature Hedgehog explosion on board the frigate during an attack on a suspected submarine.
